The Story of ‘’Nazif’s Buttons’’ Exhibition Touched the Hearts of The Visitors
Tenzile Güler’s exhibition ‘Nazif’s Buttons,’ which is one of the most important exhibitions of the 24th International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival, met with art enthusiasts.
At the Büyükçekmece Atatürk Cultural Center’s Ibrahim Çallı Hall, Büyükçekmece Mayor and Festival Committee Chairman Dr. Hasan Akgün, FIDAF 2nd Vice President and Büyükçekmece Municipality Coordinator Gürhan Ozanoğlu, along with cultural and art ambassadors from 100 countries, inaugurated the exhibitions, drawing intense interest from art enthusiasts
The buttons reflecting the drama of two children
As part of the 24th International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival, another meaningful exhibition has opened its doors. The exhibition ‘Nazif’s Buttons,’ curated by the Collector and Writer Tenzile Güler, garnered great interest for its story, which carries the traces of the dramatic lives of two children, Haşim and Nazif, through a button collection passed down in the family. Büyükçekmece Mayor, Dr. Hasan Akgün, visited the exhibition and received information about the meaning and how the buttons were collected
“An exhibition that suits the spirit of the festival.” Mayor Akgün stated that the exhibition ‘Nazif’s Buttons’ is a highly meaningful exhibition that perfectly embodies the spirit of the International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival, and the buttons displayed in the exhibition reflect a culture. He emphasized that the exhibition should definitely be visited. Mayor Akgün presented a thank-you plaque to Tenzile Güler for her contribution to the festival.
