Final Excitement In The International Folk Dance Competition

The final excitement of the International Altınköprü Folk Dance Competition, one of the main categories of the International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival, has begun.

The performances exhibited in the Altınköprü Folk Dance Competition held as part of the 24th International Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival are appreciated by the audience.

The results of the International Altınköprü Folk Dance Competition, one of the most important events of the International Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival, will be announced on Saturday, August 5th. Folk dance teams of 25 countries competing in Atatürk Cultural Center put on magnificent performances to represent their country in the best possible way.

Dancers from all over the world present a visual feast with their traditional costumes as well as their skills. While the fierce competition of countries is evaluated with great care by the international jury, the performance of the countries participating in the competition this year makes it difficult for the selection committee from time to time. After the results to be announced by the jury on Saturday, August 5, the first, second and third countries will be determined, while the best male dancer, the best female dancer, the best music, the best costume and the special jury awards will find their owners.

Folk dances of 25 countries compete

This year, danscers from India, Bolivia, Georgia, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Buryatia, Indonesia, Bashkortostan, South Africa, Guam, Kazakhstan, TRNC, North Macedonia, Costa Rica, Hungary, Latvia, Mexico, Panama, Russia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Chile and Turkey compete.
