Tree roots come to life again with “The Mystery of Juniper”

The International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival hosts very special and distinctive exhibitions this year, as every year.

Fikret Doğan presented his works, which revived tree stumps and branches, to the attention of nature and art lovers with his exhibition titled “The Mystery of Juniper”.

Works that draw attention to the environmental problem

Fikret Doğan’s exhibition titled ” The Mystery of Juniper” met with art lovers as part of the 24th International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival. Continuing his work to draw attention to the environmental problems that threaten the world and our country, Doğan is a collector who reveals the aesthetics of nature by using juniper tree roots and branches, which are especially drifted to the sea shores by the waves.

Participation was high

Fikret Doğan’s exhibition, which blends nature and art, can be visited at Büyükçekmece Municipality Service Building until Saturday, August 5th. The exhibition titled ” The Mystery of Juniper “, opened by the Mayor of Büyükçekmece and Festival Committee Chairman Dr. Hasan Akgün, attracted great interest. Mayor Akgün thanked Doğan for his works that contribute to nature and art, and presented a plaque in memory of the festival.
